How do I learn more about applying for the Maui Fire Department?
For more information regarding the qualifications required to apply for the Maui Fire Department, please contact the Department of Personnel Services at (808)270-7850. To receive a text or email notification during the next application process for the Fire Department, please click on the "@ Email Notifications" symbol on the left hand side of the screen and fill out the form for notifications.

To report a potential fire hazard or fire code violation, please contact the Fire Prevention Bureau at (808) 876-4690.

Please call the Fire Prevention Bureau or go to their office, which is located at 313 Manea Place, Wailuku. You may contact them at (808) 876-4690.

The attached form must be completed and submitted to the Fire Chief's office by mail to 200 Dairy Road, Kahului, HI 96732, email to fire.dept@mauicounty.gov or by fax to (808) 270-7919.

How do I report an imu or outdoor cooking fire?
To report an imu or outdoor cooking fire, please call the non-emergency dispatch number (808)244-6400 and the fire station in your district. Please be prepared to provide them with the following information: your name, your contact number, the address where the imu/cooking fire will be, and the approximate times.

How can I obtain a Maui Fire Department patch or shirt?
Patches can only be purchased or exchanged at the Fire Chief's Office, which is located in the Administrative building behind the Kahului Fire Station (200 Dairy Road, Kahului) during normal business hours. Patches can either be exchanged or purchased for $5.00. Shirts can be purchased at any fire station throughout the County of Maui. Please contact the fire station in your area to find out more information.
