Preliminary work postponed for Kahekili Highway slope repair project

The planned closure of Kahekili Highway at Milepost 15 has been postponed because of a breakdown in a drilling rig needed for the project, the Department of Public Works, Engineering Division announced.

Soil borings and topographic survey work had been planned for Feb. 7-16 on the south side of Waihali Gulch, but that work will be rescheduled after the drilling rig is repaired. The preliminary work is needed to prepare for a Kahekili Highway slope repair project.

For more information, contact the Department of Public Works, Engineering Division at (808) 270-7745.
