48th Annual Maui County Senior Fair announced

Music by Na Leo Pilimehana and Kaina Kountry and exercises to limber up will highlight this month’s virtual 48th Annual Maui County Senior Fair. Festivities will be held online from 10 a.m. to noon Friday, Oct. 22, 2021.

The event will be on Zoom, live-streamed on Facebook and televised on Akaku Channel 54.

This year’s theme, “Communities of Strength,” celebrates the resilience and strength of Maui Nui’s Kupuna. The fair will feature informational videos from businesses and nonprofit organizations that serve kupuna, as well as remarks by federal, state and county elected officials.

Gift cards from local businesses like Longs and Foodland will be given away. To be eligible, complete a sign-up form by Oct. 18. Forms will be available in the Oct. 9 and Oct. 13 issues of The Maui News. Virtual entries can also be submitted online at https://form.jotform.com/212526339621049.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions and in the interest of protecting the health and safety of all, the Senior Fair will be virtual for a second year. This event is produced by Maui Economic Opportunity and funded by the Maui County Office on Aging.
