Mayor Victorino congratulates new Fire Chief and Deputy Fire Chief

Mayor Michael Victorino congratulated new Fire Chief Brad Ventura and Deputy Fire Chief Gavin Fujioka during a badge-pinning ceremony today at the Kahului Fire Station.

“This is a proud moment for many of us, to see the Maui Fire Department under the strong, capable leadership of Fire Chief Brad Ventura and Deputy Fire Chief Gavin Fujioka,” Mayor Victorino said. “I ask everyone to support them, because leadership can be difficult at times.

“I believe that Brad and Gavin’s willingness to accept leadership, and all that goes along with it, speaks highly of their character, and why the future looks so bright for the Maui Fire Department.”
