County of Maui Proclamation

Recognizing the importance of cyber security awareness, Mayor Alan Arakawa has proclaimed October, “Cyber Security Awareness Month” in Maui County in conjunction with the Department of Homeland Security’s National Cyber Security Awareness Month (NCSAM). The goal during this month is to raise cyber security awareness across the County and to empower citizens, businesses, government and schools to improve their cyber security preparedness.

In support of Cyber Security Awareness Month, the County will be providing a number of educational resources to the public, including cyber security themed materials that can be downloaded to help promote and reinforce cyber safety themes in practical, informative, entertaining, and useable ways.
